Fabelmans, A Casa do Dragão e The White Lotus se destacaram na cerimônia

A Associação da Imprensa Estrangeira de Hollywood (HFPA) entregou nesta terça-feira (10), os troféus do Globo de Ouro 2023, que consagrou Os Fabelmans, nova produção de Steven Spielberg, e Os Banshees de Inisherin, filme mais recente de Martin McDonagh (Três Anúncios Para Um Crime). 

Ambos ganham destaque no início da temporada de premiações. Fabelmans recebeu dois prêmios: Melhor Filme de Drama e Melhor Direção para Spielberg; já Banshees se sobressaiu nas categorias de Melhor Filme de Comédia ou Musical, Melhor Roteiro (McDonagh) e Melhor Ator em Comédia ou Musical (Colin Farrell). Concorrentes de grande peso como Avatar: O Caminho da Água e Top Gun: Maverick saíram sem estatuetas. 

Nas disputas de TV, o grande destaque foi para a sitcom Abbott Elementary, vencedora em três categorias: Melhor Série de Comédia, Melhor Atriz em Série de Comédia (Quinta Brunson) e Melhor Ator Coadjuvante (Tyler James Williams). A segunda temporada de The White Lotus foi a segunda maior vencedora, com um prêmio de Melhor Minissérie ou Antologia e um prêmio de Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante para Jennifer Coolidge. A Casa do Dragão, por fim, venceu o prêmio de Melhor Série Dramática. Curiosamente, sua série-mãe, Game of Thrones, foi esnobada pelo Globo de Ouro durante todo o tempo em que esteve no ar. 

A cerimônia marcou o retorno da premiação à TV americana após os escândalos de corrupção que a deixaram sem lar no ano passado. No Brasil, o Globo de Ouro ficou sem transmissão oficial — a TNT, que tradicionalmente exibia o prêmio, não o fez este ano.
